From the first snowflake to the last present under the tree, the holidays are an epic journey.
So for Target Holiday 2015, we created a story that reflects the journey we all go through during the holidays: The Holiday Odyssey.
It's a serialized adventure story about three kids and one dog who discover a magical world and set out on an epic quest to light a ridiculously giant tree.
The adventure unfolded across all channels, including five storytelling films and an interactive digital storybook that families could enjoy together.
By the time the journey was over, Target had racked up record setting sales results.

The Holiday Odyssey Storybook
As part of our quest to turn the holidays into a season long adventure, we took the story of The Holiday Odyssey one step further by writing an interactive children’s book.
Narrated by dad extraordinaire Neil Patrick Harris and built for mobile-first, the storybook let families follow along with Jack, Sophia, Nina, and Bullseye as they journeyed across an epic holiday landscape to replace a missing bulb — and save Christmas for an entire world of Toys.
It's 50 pages full of holiday inspired adventure, each one individually illustrated, scored, and animated for families to enjoy together.
