Mods are the volunteers that help out and take care of streamers and their channels. During the pandemic, we took that idea to the next level to show our streamers some love and spread some joy.
Meet the Fairy Modmother: a benevelont winged bean, brought to life by Twitch creator Tomthinks, who flies from channel to channel, dropping into chat and spreading bits (money), subs (subscriptions), and joy to our creators.
The Fairy Modmother continues to fly around Twitch to this very day, suprising streamers and spreading magic in their stream. Additionally, we continue to use the Fairy Modmother as the official spokes-bean of our annual Subtember campaigns (mentioned in the case study below) and have continued to set new revenue records annually.
We launched the Fairy Modmother on Twitch social to target all our creators.
And after that, it was time to spread some joy....and make our creators FREAK OUT.
